Stink Bugs, Moths: A small battery powered light

Wasps, Hornets, Bees, Cockroaches: Sugar water, soda, juice

Mosquitoes: Mix 1 cup of hot water with 1 cup of sugar then add 1 teaspoon of yeast

Fruit Flies & Black Flies:

Fill a quart-size bowl with a mixture of water and dish soap. Then set a smaller bowl, filled with a quarter cup of red wine vinegar, afloat in the center. The vinegar attracts fruit flies, making them stick to the suds from the soap.

Spiders:

Spiders don't like strong scents. Fill a spray bottle with dish soap and a strong scent like lemon or lavender essential oil and use the mixture as a spider away spray! Spray spider webs and dark places (like basement window sills) with the homemade spray. Spray well and often!

Ants:

Combine a bit of flour and borax, and apply to ant-prone areas. You can also add herbs like spearmint, tansy, and southernwood to repel additionally.
